Ferry to Amsterdam price calculator
Ferry to Amsterdam price calculator
Estimate the common costs around the Newcastle to Amsterdam ferry: parking, coach transfer, meals and your own DFDS quote.
This tool estimates the costs around the ticket. It does not guess live DFDS fares.
Use this for the IJmuiden to Amsterdam city transfer.
Port of Tyne parking is charged per 24-hour block after the free first 4 hours.
Add breakfast, dinner or à la carte meals per crossing.
What the calculator uses
These default rates are used only for the estimate. Replace the ferry quote with the live price you see during booking.

How to use it
Open DFDS, choose your date, cabin and vehicle, then paste the total ferry quote into the calculator.
Add coach transfers, parking and meals. These are often the extras that make two fares hard to compare.
Try one day earlier or later, return versus MiniCruise, and different cabin choices before deciding.
Fast booking checks
- Cabin sharing changes the per-person price. Two people in a cabin can cost more per person than a four-person example fare.
- Foot passengers still need a transfer. IJmuiden is on the coast, outside central Amsterdam.
- Meals are optional but useful to price early. Pre-booked meals can be cheaper than walk-in prices.
- Do not convert currencies inside this tool. Euro costs are shown separately to avoid a fake exchange rate.
Price the ferry as a journey
The best comparison is not only the ticket. Add the cabin, parking, transfer and meals, then judge the total against flying, driving via Dover or taking a short Amsterdam MiniCruise.
